WWE is planning a significant event at the former ECW Arena on November 6th, opting to hold the show on a Wednesday to avoid competing with the U.S. Presidential Election. The company is expected to put considerable effort into drawing attention to this event.
WWE has already announced that Dawn Marie will be involved, and Bully Ray made an appearance at NXT’s Halloween Havoc over the weekend. While it is anticipated that Bully Ray will compete at the 2300 Arena show, this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that WWE has reached out to additional ECW personalities for the event. There has also been a pitch for a tag team match involving Lita, who appeared in ECW as Miss Congeniality. The proposed match would feature an eight or ten-woman tag team bout.
Lita was seen at the 2300 Arena last week, though it was reported that her presence was for unrelated reasons. The match pitch was reportedly discussed throughout the week.
Lita last competed at WrestleMania 39, where she teamed with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to defeat Damage CTRL. Lita and Lynch were WWE Tag Team Champions before Lita was written off television.
As WWE prepares for the ECW Arena event, it appears the show will include several surprises. With Shawn Michaels’ open invitation to Bubba Ray Dudley, it seems very possible that the November 6 episode of NXT will be very extreme. Lita’s involvement will simply be a cherry on top for many fans.
