Carlito‘s controversial line from the October 21 episode of WWE RAW has been edited out of the streaming edition of the show.

In a backstage segment on the show, Carlito said “I need to learn Chinese,” referring to IYO SKY and Kairi Sane. The two women are Japanese. The line came after the duo spoke with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce backstage.

The episode has been uploaded to Peacock and WWE Network, and Carlito’s line has been edited out. In the new version, the camera zooms in on Adam Pearce, and Carlito’s line has been muted. The segment then resumes as it initially ran, with Pearce asking him to tell him what he wants.

The updated clip can be seen below:

Backstage Reaction To Carlito’s Line

As previously reported, one staff member claimed that the line was not scripted, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select). The source noted that they were in disbelief that Carlito said it. Sapp also cited sources who were not happy that it happened. At the time, there was no word on whether there was any heat on those involved.

Carlito has since competed on WWE TV; he wrestled on the November 11 episode of WWE RAW. There, he and Dominik Mysterio lost to the War Raiders (Erik and Ivar). He has also compered in a dark match.
