WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i has passed away. He was 81 years old.

Jahrus Anoa’i shared the news on Instagram:

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Former Hall of Famer, Polaivao Leati Sika Anoa’i. He passed away peacefully on June 25th. Sika was a celebrated figure whose contributions and legacy have left an indelible mark. His memory will live on through his achievements and the many lives he touched.”

Afa Anoa’i had a legendary career as a member of The Wild Samoans with his brother, Sika. They wrestled all over the wrestling world and had a prominent run in the WWF, where they held the tag team titles three times. The duo was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.

After he retired, Afa operated the World Xtreme Wrestling promotion for many years and trained wrestlers at the Wild Samoan Training Center.

Afa was a member of the Anoa’i wrestling family, which includes Roman Reigns, The Rock, The Usos, and Rikishi. Peter Maivia was his uncle. Afa dealt with health issues in recent years before his passing.
