WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has been a part of many memorable moments in his wrestling career, especially during his time at WCW. Fans still remember his feud with Hulk Hogan from that era. Interestingly, during this week’s NXT, Booker T was seen heading to the ring while fans chanted, “Hulk Hogan, we coming for you,” referencing his infamous promo from years ago.
As seen by footage making rounds online, the six-time World Champion was walking out and slowly making his way to the announcer’s desk, as the crowd chanted “Hulk Hogan, we coming for you” during March 11, 2025, episode of WWE NXT in New York City. Booker T was obviously enjoying the chants from the crowd since he was smiling throughout the video.
The crowd chant was a nod to his unforgettable WCW Spring Stampede 1997 promo, where he accidentally used a racial slur while calling out Hulk Hogan, as he said, “Hulk Hogan, we coming for you n*****.” The moment has since become a widely referenced part of wrestling history.
This comes after Vic Joseph recently defended Booker T from criticism, as many people feel Booker T’s commentary style is simply not something that should be on NXT television at all.
Despite the controversy, the chant shows that Booker T’s legacy in wrestling is as strong as ever. His ability to embrace the moment with confidence simply makes it obvious why he is one of the most respected names in the industry.
Do you think the NXT crowd chanting Booker T’s infamous line was all in good fun, or is it time to move past that moment in wrestling history? Share your thoughts in the comments!
