Ethan Page and Joe Hendry headlined WWE NXT No Mercy, as Page put the NXT Championship on the line.

In the main event of WWE NXT No Mercy, Ethan Page defended the NXT Championship against TNA star Joe Hendry. Former NXT Champion Trick Williams was the special referee for the match.

Hendry threw everything he had at Page. They continued to battle back and forth. In the closing moments, Page shoved Hendry into Williams, sending him out of the ring. Hendry evaded a belt shot when Page tried to hit him with the title. Page DDTed Hendry on the title, but Williams stopped the pin. Page went to punch Williams, but he ducked, so Page hit the replacement referee. The champion then hit Hendry below the belt and hit the Ego’s Edge for the win.

After the bell, Pete Dunne blindsided Williams and attacked him.
