Vince McMahon gained widespread attention after facing allegations of sexual trafficking and misconduct from a former WWE employee. These accusations significantly rocked the very foundation of WWE. Now it appears McMahon has been removed from WWE after the accusations.

In case you weren’t aware, shocking allegations of sexual trafficking and misconduct have been levied against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The lawsuit claims that McMahon shared explicit content of Grant without her permission, implicating other WWE employees, undisclosed executives, and stars. Additionally, it alleges that McMahon instructed her to engage in sexual activities with them.

This prompted Vince McMahon to resign from WWE and TKO for good. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer highlighted the contrast between Vince McMahon’s recent departure from WWE and his previous exit due to the hush money scandal. Unlike the last time, McMahon did not receive a send-off or any mention over the weekend.

“It’s funny because the bad news, does short-term help the ratings? You know, I mean, we’ve seen that before, at least, at least when it comes to Vince McMahon bad news. You know, I mean, other bad news may not, but when it comes to Vince McMahon, it does, and it is very interesting. And I’m not surprised, and I don’t think anyone should be that when you compare and contrast the first time Vince quit. And this time, the first time Vince quit, they built the whole show around him. You know they had Stephanie come out there the big goodbye the whole bit.”

Meltzer noted that McMahon’s absence from the narrative is intriguing, especially considering the boost in short-term ratings typically associated with bad news about him. The complete removal of McMahon’s name from recent events, including press conferences and SmackDown, suggests a deliberate decision by WWE.

”And this guy’s been erased. I mean, Paul Levesque never mentioned his name at the press conference. On the Friday SmackDown show, they never mentioned his name. I don’t think that anyone’s going to mention his name on any shows, maybe ever again, at least not, you know, for the foreseeable future. I mean, it is you know, and probably for all good reasons.”

Meltzer expressed doubt that McMahon’s name would be mentioned in the foreseeable future, except in historical contexts due to his significant impact on WWE’s history.

”I don’t see any point in ever mentioning his name, you know, other than it’s in a like a historical piece because, unfortunately, you know, when it comes to the history of WWE, you can’t tell the history of WWE up until the last month or two and do a fair job without mentioning Vince McMahon because he’s fingerprints as ever fingerprints are everywhere. And he’s the key guy in history.”

Janel Grant’s lawyer also believes more people will speak out against WWE’s culture of corruption. It remains to be seen what will become of Vince McMahon in the coming months.
