The announcement that Monday Night RAW is moving to Netflix has created major discussion within the pro wrestling community. This shift to a streaming platform could bring significant changes to the show’s format and availability. In fact, the date for the international launch of WWE on Netflix has been revealed.
It was reported that WWE and Netflix confirmed their huge deal to move Monday Night RAW to the streaming service, which will begin in January 2025. The reported deal, valued at over $5 billion for a duration of ten years.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nia Jax shared some news about WWE’s upcoming launch on Netflix. The international release is scheduled for January 3rd, with Raw set to debut on the platform in the U.S. on January 6th.
Jax expressed excitement about how WWE is expanding its reach globally, crediting Nick Khan and Triple H for elevating the company to new heights. She believes that WWE’s presence on Netflix will significantly increase its visibility, making the brand and its stars more recognizable around the world.
”I mean, it is a whole different level of WWE. Nick Khan and Triple H have taken this company to the next level. It’s pretty incredible. We’re about to be in 80 percent of the world. Coming up in January, once — I just was told that technically, January 3rd is the international launch for WWE on Netflix, and then January 6th is here in the United States for Raw to go to Netflix. It’s gonna be huge. That’s something that we’ve never had… Before, I’d be in the airports and I could definitely be forgettable or not noticed. But now I think every time we go somewhere, anywhere we are — we were in Half Moon Bay — we were just talking about it — we were in Half Moon Bay in some random, local coffee restaurant. They’re like, ‘It’s Tiffy Time!’ You know, and they’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s Nia Jax…’ We are so mainstream almost, which is kind of a cool thing, right? Even though we still feel very humbled. But, it’s very awesome.”
Triple H is also confident that fans will make the transition to Netflix without any concerns. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how the WWE product will grow once they shift to Netflix in January next year, as the new era for Monday Night RAW will begin in a matter of months.
