WWE SmackDown Draws Lowest Viewership Since December On 5/10, Show Tops Cable

WWE SmackDown‘s viewership dropped on May 10.

Per Wrestlenomics via Programming Insider, SmackDown drew 2.128 million viewers on Friday. This is down from last week ( 2.148 million viewers) and marks the show’s lowest number since December 29, 2023. SmackDown was up against the Knicks vs. Pacers NBA playoff game on ESPN. Per SportsMediaWatch, the game averaged 4,491,000 viewers and a 1.37 rating.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.62 rating. This is up from last week (0.60 rating). SmackDown ranked #1 in the key demo among broadcast primetime programs, per Wrestlenomics.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis introducing Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to his next challenger, United States Champion Logan Paul. The two men will face each other at King and Queen of the Ring later this month.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill each won their respective first-round 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament matches.

Tama Tonga was also in action and won his first WWE singles match over Angelo Dawkins in a King of the Ring match. The Bloodline attacked both members of the Street Profits during and after the match.

The main event of the show saw Randy Orton defeat AJ Styles in the first round of the 2024 Men’s King of the Ring tournament.
