WWE SmackDown Preliminary Viewership Decreases On 4/12, Demo Also Drops

WWE SmackDown‘s preliminary viewership decreased on April 12.

According to Fast Nationals Data, 2.357 million viewers watched the show on Friday night, and it drew a 925K rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The preliminary viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 2.60 million viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 1.051M rating in the same demographic.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Solo Sikoa seemingly took over The Bloodline and became the new Tribal Chief by kicking out Jimmy Uso and replacing him with the debuting Tama Tonga.

Noami defeated Tiffany Stratton to earn a shot at Bayley’s WWE Women’s Championship next week.

The main event saw AJ Styles defeat Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens in a triple threat match. Styles will face LA Knight, who won his triple threat match earlier in the evening in a rematch from WrestleMania 40 next week. The winner will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash.
