WWE SmackDown Preliminary Viewership Increases On 2/9, Demo Also Rises

WWE SmackDown‘s preliminary viewership increased on February 9.

According to Programming Insider, 2.461 million viewers watched the show on Friday night, and it drew a 0.69 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The preliminary viewership is up from last week’s episode when 2.314 million viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.66 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off Triple H, Nick Aldis, and Adam Pearce. Triple H made it clear, despite complaints from The Rock, that Roman Reigns will be defending his Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

Bianca Belair defeated Mia Yim (Michin) to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber match in Australia.

Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne were also in action and picked up a win over DIY. They will now challenge The Judgment Day at Elimination Chamber.

The main event of the show saw Randy Orton defeat Sami Zayn to qualify for the men’s Elimination Chamber match later this month.
