WWE SmackDown saw another decrease in viewership on February 14.
According to Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider), SmackDown averaged 1.384 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.42 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode when an average of 1.507 million viewers tuned in. The demo rating also dropped from last week’s show (0.48 rating in the same demographic), and this marks SmackDown’s lowest number since December 20.
SmackDown ranked #2 in the demographic on cable on Friday. The show was up against the NBA All-Star Celebrity game on ESPN, which drew a 0.43 rating in the demographic.
What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?
This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Cody Rhodes. He is interrupted by Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu.
Tiffany Stratton defeated Nia Jax via disqualification to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Charlotte Flair picked Stratton as her WrestleMania opponent following the match.
Elsewhere on the show, Noami defeated Chelsea Green to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber.
In the main event of the evening, Damian Priest defeated Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match.
