WWE SmackDown Viewership Rises On 10/25, Demo Also Up Against MLB World Series

WWE SmackDow viewership increased on October 25.

According to Wrestlenomics, SmackDown averaged 1.418 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.43 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership number is up from last week’s episode when an average of 1.378 million viewers tuned in. The demo also increased from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.42 rating in the same demographic. 

SmackDown ranked #2 in the 18 to 49 demographic behind Game One of the MLB World Series, which averaged a total of 15.2 million viewers, as well as the NBA game between the Suns and the Lakers.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Randy Orton, who called out Triple H in order to get his match with Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel. Triple H eventually agreed to give him the match.

The “Game 7” match between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade went to a no contest as special guest referee LA Knight attacked both men. They will face each other in a triple threat at Crown Jewel.

Elsewhere on the show, Motor City Machine Guns defeated DIY to become the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles. With assistance from Roman Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey Uso, Sabin and Shelley captured the WWE Tag Team Titles by defeating The Bloodline in the main event.
