A successful WWE tag team requires more than effective tandem moves and good in-ring chemistry. They also need a name, and now one NXT team has revealed theirs.
The name of a newly formed WWE partnership has been disclosed ahead of their debut match. Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic will be known as Beauty and the Blade.
Tomorrow night’s NXT Heatwave event will take place in Toronto, Canada, following the WWE Money In The Bank event. The show will begin with the Kick-Off show, featuring a tag team match with Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx against Canada’s own Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic.
Arianna and Karmen haven’t agreed on NXT television in recent weeks but have united due to a common dislike for Jacy and Jazmyn.
In a video uploaded to Twitter, Karmen shared a ‘bonding session’ of her and Arianna attempting to prepare for their upcoming match. The bonding session was not effective. Karmen revealed a new name for the team, now known as Beauty and the Blade.
She wrote: “we’re working on it.. #BeautyAndTheBlade.” It remains to be seen if Karmen can turn Arianna into the formidable partner she envisions.
