LA Knight will defend the gold at WWE Crown Jewel.
The feud between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade came to a head on the October 25 episode of WWE SmackDown, as they clashed in the seventh match in their series.
The two foes met for the seventh time on Friday night, and their series was tied 3-3 ahead of the bout. WWE United States Champion LA Knight was the special referee, and he watched on as Andrade and Hayes went back and forth in a competitive match. However, it quickly broke down into chaos.
Hayes kicked out of a pin, sending Andrade into Knight. Knight then missed a pin attempt, and Andrade argued with him. Hayes accidentally superkicked Knight, temporarily removing him from the match.
Knight proceeded to break up a pin attempt by Hayes, and he tossed Hayes onto the broadcast table. He dropped both Andrade and Hayes with a BFT. Knight declared that he was the winner of their “Game Seven.”
Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confronted LA Knight. He announced that he would be defending his title against Andrade and Hayes at WWE Crown Jewel.
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE Crown Jewel as it airs on November 2.
