The WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament will continue on the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown.
The third of four first-round matches was held on the November 29 episode of WWE SmackDown. Michin defeated Lash Legend and Piper Niven to advance to the next round. Bayley and Chelsea Green previously won their first-round matches.
On the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, the final first-round match will see Naomi face Tiffany Stratton and Elektra Lopez. The winner will then face Michin in the semifinals. Green will face Bayley in the other semifinal match. The finals will be held at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Chelsea Green On Women’s US Title
Speaking on Canucks Central, Chelsea Green discussed potentially becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion. She stated that she would be honored to win the gold.
“It really would be [an honor to win the title],” Green said. “The things that the women have done in the past ten years for professional wrestling have been really incredible,” Green said. They’ve really shattered a lot of glass ceilings.
“So to be able to be in this tournament for the first-ever Women’s United States Championship, but then to be able to say that I’m the winner, to be a Canadian winning the United States Championship, it would be an honor really. There’s so many things, of course my creative side of my brain, the wheels get turning and I’m thinking of all the things that I could do before I’ve even won a championship. But I think it would be really amazing to the inaugural champion.”
