WWE WrestleMania 40 was a record-breaking show, and not just for WWE.
Joe Otterson of Variety reports that WrestleMania 40 is the most-streamed entertainment event ever on Peacock. Per Otterson, the two-night event was viewed for a total of 1.3 billion minutes. The report notes that, based on the average minute audience, night one viewership was up 26% compared to last year, and night two was up 30%.
Otterson also writes that WrestleMania marked the second “biggest usage weekend” for Peacock of all time. It was only outranked by the NFL Wild Card game and the following day on January 13 and 14.
Furthermore, Otterson writes that the Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary is the most-viewed original sports WWE documentary through the first seven years following its premiere.
WWE previously announced that WrestleMania 40 was their most successful event in history, as it broke several records.
