EXCLUSIVE: KatzSmith Productions (It), the company founded by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith, has brought on Wynn Wygal as President of Production.

Wygal was most recently SVP of Production at Thomas Tull’s Teton Ridge Entertainment, where she oversaw both scripted and non-scripted Film and TV in addition to spearheading a new podcast division.

Previously, Wygal was Director of Development at Andrew Lazar’s Mad Chance Productions, where she worked on films including the Oscar-winning American Sniper, and last year’s Oscar nominated Nyad.  Additional roles include VP of Film at Parkes + MacDonald, and at Aftershock Media, where she worked across Film and TV, notably packaging Dead Day created by Ryan Parrott with showrunners Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, which sold straight to series at Peacock, but ulitmately did not move forward.

“With her extensive experience, impeccable taste and deep industry relationships, Wynn is the perfect partner as we look to grow our business across film and television,” said Katzenberg and Grahame-Smith.

Launched in 2011, KatzSmith’s credits include the anthology series Just Beyond for Disney+, as well as 2017’s It, the highest grossing horror movie of all time.  The company is in a first-look deal with Lionsgate Television.
