Xavi will stay at FC Barcelona. The coach agreed with his management to continue his mission until the end of his contract, i.e. until 2025, after announcing his departure at the end of the season during the last days of January. A turnaround that pleases the players as a whole but not all the members of the board. The coach is maintained and has some largesse granted.

According to Sport, his first request is to bring in a physical trainer specializing in injury management and prevention. Julio Tous should be the lucky one, he who has already worked on the staff of Juventus, Inter and even Chelsea with Antonio Conte. The Spaniard knows Xavi well since he already worked at Barça in 2004. The Catalan coach wants a high-performance group from the start of the season, after feeling that the players were not quite up to par during the first matches at the end of summer 2023.
