Excluded last weekend, Xavi Hernandez is determined on his fate.

The verdict is in. Sunday evening, at the end of the La Liga clash between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona (0-3), Xavi was excluded from his sidelines after receiving two successive yellow cards.

Meeting this Wednesday morning, the disciplinary committee of the Spanish championship decided to impose a two-match suspension on the Catalan coach for “protest to the referee”. He will therefore attend the Blaugrana's next two meetings from the stands, against Las Palmas and Cadiz.

Barça appeals

Xavi will return to the bench for the Clasico against Real Madrid on April 21. Unless his sentence is finally reduced, while Barça has decided to appeal this decision, reports the media Sport.
