WWE has a few members of their roster who are out of action. The wait for Xavier Woods’ return ended this week.

The New Day haven’t appeared as a trio since before Big E went out of action with a broken neck. Sadly, they haven’t appeared as a duo in recent weeks, either.

Xavier Woods made an unexpected comeback to the RAW brand during the January 15th episode, disrupting Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser’s promo. Woods was there to address Kaiser over attacking Kofi Kingston on the January 8th RAW episode. Then, Woods challenged Kaiser to a match.

During the match that followed, Michael Cole provided an update on Kofi Kingston, revealing that Kingston suffered a cervical neck sprain during Kaiser’s assault on January 8th. Cole mentioned that Kingston would be sidelined for several weeks.

The encounter between Woods and Kaiser ended with a disqualification as Kaiser hurled a commentary desk chair at Woods. Then Woods returned the favor by smashing that chair over Kaiser’s back.

This was a nice return for Woods, as his mouth was even bloodied during the contest. He had quite an insane look in his eyes when the referee called for the bell to DQ him as well. This led to a brawl around the ringside area, until Kaiser eventually retreated backstage.
