Xia Zhao, previously known as Xia Li in WWE, is now on the hunt for championship gold in Asia following her TJPW debut.

She recently teamed up with Mizuki in a successful effort against the pairing of Yuki Kamifuku and VENY. The match concluded as Xia Zhao executed a Corkscrew Kick to Yuki Kamifuku followed by the three count. After picking up a pinfall victory over the SPW Queen of Asia and VPW Women’s Champion Yuki Kamifuku, Xia made her intentions clear and made the challenge for both belts. The champion responded instantly and accepted her challenge.

TJPW made the match official for their upcoming All Rise ’24 show this October 6th at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The championship match for both of Yuki Kamifuku’s titles will be the semi-main event of the show.

This is Xia Zhao’s first time competing for Southeast Asian wrestling gold. On the other hand, Yuki Kamifuku has been a defending champion competing against top challengers all over the Asian continent. She has wrestled in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and China. Yuki will also defend the title in the Philippines for Dexcon‘s Jam of the Joshis against local Filipino wrestler Chelsea Marie this October 13.

Besides her TJPW run, Xia Zhao is also set to debut for TNA under her new Lei Ying Lee moniker. Her debut match will air on Thursday, September 26.
