Xia Zhao, formerly known as Xia Li, looks back on her time on the WWE main roster.
WWE released Zhao in April 2024. She had spent several years with the company, but she was inconsistently used on the main roster following her call-up in 2021.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo for Instinct Culture, Xia Zhao was asked about her time on the main roster and whether she got any feedback or answers as to why she was not being used.
“So I’m new to main roster, I don’t know [if] I can speak up for myself or not,” she said. “I’m just very careful, [I] say, ‘Hey, what I can do? There’s some idea.’ I train more and just do everything I can, or, ‘Am I do something wrong? Do I need to change anything?’ [I] try my best to find out what should I do, but not any story really for me.”
In recent months, Zhao has competed for TJPW and other companies. She has also landed in TNA, and Gail Kim confirmed that she signed with the company.
