Paris Saint-Germain would have ticked off the name of one of the most successful defenders in Europe.

With the scheduled departure of Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain will have a substantial budget to strengthen during the next summer transfer window. The main lines of this next offseason have already been set behind the scenes of the capital club.

RMC Sport thus indicated that PSG’s financial strength allowed the club to consider an XXL transfer window to begin a new era. Strong reinforcements would be expected in all lines: one or even two world-class attackers, a defensive midfielder, another more creative profile, and a talented central defender with plenty of room for improvement.

PSG goes for a highly rated defender

For this latest targeted profile, French international Espoir Leny Yoro seems to tick all the boxes. But an alternative to this path would have begun to mature in the mind of Luis Campos: it would be William Saliba.

According to information from journalist Ekrem Konur, Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the situation of the French international very closely. Currently considered a reference to his position in the Premier League, the 2022 world vice-champion was the outfield player most used by Mikel Arteta at Arsenal this season. Originally from Bondy, Saliba could be seduced by the PSG project, despite his past at OM.
