YBNL: Fireboy speaks on being in competition with record label mate, Asake

Afrobeats singer, Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML has debunked speculations of competition between him and his record label mate, Asake.

The ‘Peru’ crooner said that , there is no competition in their record label, YBNL Nation.

The artiste made this known in an interview with Max FM, Lagos, explaining that there exists a harmonious working relationship between him, Asake and their label boss, ace rapper, Olamide.

Fireboy said, “I don’t think there is any competition in YBNL because everyone is on a different lane. We could all drop our songs one week from each other and nobody would be angry. There’s genuine love.

“There’s genuine brotherhood among us. There was a day Olamide and Asake helped loosen my hair. That moment was a very solemn moment for me. There is no competition in YBNL.”

The singer also said that YBNL Nation and its artists don’t get involved in industry brawls because their goal is to make money.
