Pushed towards the exit by OGC Nice, Algerian defender Youcef Atal should bounce back in an exotic championship.

Youcef Atal’s adventure with OGC Nice is coming to an end. And it ends on a bad note. The Algerian international will leave the Aiglons after his eight-match suspension, linked to his extra-sporting affair. Controversial post on social networks which earned him a conviction by the courts.

Head to Turkey for Atal

Rumors suggested that the former Paradou player was going to stay until the end of the season, in order to receive the rest of his salaries at the Gym. That ultimately won’t be the case. Wishing to play again as quickly as possible after several weeks of inactivity, he accepted a transfer to another championship.

Atal will take over the management of Turkey and the Adana club. A club where another former Ligue 1 player already plays, in this case Mario Balotelli. The Portuguese Nani also wears the colors of this formation.

As a reminder, Atal recently played in the African Cup of Nations with his Algerian team. Despite his lack of competition, he appeared leggy, and this is what probably appealed to his Turkish courtiers.
