Young M.A is announcing her return to the music scene with her new song ‘Watch.’ But the rapper is also addressing health concerns from nearly a year ago.
In a three-minute visual to the track, M.A opens up about betrayal in friendships, her rap talent, and recovery. The ‘Ooouuu’ artist opened by making it clear she’s still the one, never the two.
“I’m still a bully, I’m not friendly, none of you rappers can’t still f**k with me, I’m her, I’m him, I’m shim. Not them, and I put that on mommy.”
For the next minute, she raps about why she’s disliked, calling it jealousy. Then, she speaks about buying a friend a watch that they sold. Two minutes in, she dropped a warning: “This whole summer I’m about to have.”
A few seconds later, Young M.A addresses her “yellow eyes.” Last April, the artist went viral after her barber shared a video of her after a shape-up. Fans, especially, expressed concern because the rapper’s eyes and skin appeared yellow. The following month, she told fans she was sober and “still here.”

‘Watch’ is the second song she’s released in the last month, behind ‘Open Scars.’ However, this is the first time M.A is speaking of the health concerns in her music.
“Thought that I was dying when they seen me with those yellow eyes/ Surprise muthafuckers, I’m alive/ God wasn’t finished with me/ Got some more shit to do/ Tell my side/ ‘Open Scars‘ was the interlude/ Listen to the music, I ain’t ’bout to do those interviews/ Don’t worry ’bout what happened/ Just be worried what I’m finna do,” she spits.”
