'Young Sheldon' Series Finale Viewership Numbers Revealed, Pulls Biggest Audience in 4 Years

Young Sheldon came to an end this week.

The CBS sitcom, a prequel to The Big Bang Theory, aired for seven seasons with the series finale airing Thursday (May 16).

In the episode, we saw the Coopers attend the funeral for Lance Barber’s , plus, Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik reprised their roles as adult Sheldon Cooper and his wife Amy Farrah Fowler, giving an update on their post-Big Bang Theory life.

Now that the episode hit the airwaves, the amount of viewers that tuned in has been revealed, and it’s a lot!

The finale episode, titled “Funeral,” drew in 8.95 million viewers, marking it’s biggest singular episode viewership in four years, according to Variety.

Previously, the most watched episode was the season three finale, which drew in 10.2 million viewers in April 2020.

Fans of the Big Bang Theory universe and the coopers won’t have to wait that much longer for more!
