Arriving very early in the professional world at the age of 16 with Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Youssoufa Moukoko (19 years old) was quickly confronted with doubts from many people about his age. Born in Yaoundé in Cameroon, before arriving in Germany in 2018, the media Spiegel had raised the possibility that his age was false in 2022. Youssoufa Moukoko did not let this accusation pass and decided to file a complaint. The trial in 2023 did not convict the German magazine, but the appeals court rendered a contrary verdict.

According to Sports 1, Youssoufa Moukoko won the trial this time. The court said the “minimum level of evidence” was present to judge false allegations. Yesterday, like many Borussia Dortmund players, Youssoufa Moukoko was not selected by Julian Nagelsmann to join the Mannschaft.
