Yuuki Mashiro got emotional cutting a post-match promo to raise public awareness on the internal issues in Ice Ribbon.

This past October 19, Ice Ribbon held their October Ice Ribbon Fest 2024 at Korakuen Hall. The show saw ICE x ∞ Champion YuuRi defend her prestigious title against Yuuki Mashiro in the main event of the show. The defending champion put up a tough fight, but Yuuki Mashiro’s spirit earned her her first ICE x ∞ Championship victory in her career. She officially becomes the 39th champion of the belt, ending YuuRi’s second reign at 118 days.

Unfortunately, Yuuki Mashiro grabbed the microphone to address the Ice Ribbon crowd in lieu of her crowning moment. According to a report by Battle News, the new champion shed some light on recent events occurring behind the scenes that concerned Ice Ribbon’s competitors. She claims that Ice Ribbon President Kazuhito Goshima has been unresponsive on top of issues of unpaid wages towards the promotion’s workers. She then mentioned feeling anxious going into the Korakuen Hall show that day due to a lack of communication from their president, to which she continued to apologize to the crowd for not being able to disclose more information at the time.

Regardless, Yuuki Mashiro adds that she, alongside the Ice Ribbon roster, will continue to put on great shows for their fans. “But we still fight in the ring like this, risking our lives, doing pro wrestling! I put this belt on the line today and I’m glad I got it, so please come and support us at the Korakuen Hall event on December 31st,” she says.
