Zack Sabre Jr. scored a major victory at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka.
For years, Zack Sabre Jr. and Bryan Danielson have widely been regarded as two of the best wrestlers in the world. The long-awaited dream match was initially set for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022, but Danielson was unable to compete due to injury. They finally clashed at AEW WrestleDream 2023, where Danielson emerged victorious. The two stars faced off again in a rematch at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka on February 11.
As expected, the bout was a technical masterclass, and in the end, Sabre Jr. scored the victory via pinfall. The two stars shook hands after the thrilling contest.
In his backstage comments after the match, Bryan Danielson said Zack Sabre Jr. was now the best technical wrestler in the world. He also challenged Sabre Jr. to face him in a two-out-of-three falls match on neutral ground.
Bryan Danielson: "I think I might want one more. I beat him in AEW, he beat me in New Japan. I say we do two out of three falls, somewhere on neutral ground."
