Comedian Zarna Garg has inked a deal for a stand-up special with Hulu, becoming the latest to take part in their new comedy brand, Hularious.
No specifics on the special were provided, other than that Rotten Science is producing, and that it will launch domestically on Hulu and Disney+ internationally.
Stated Garg, “I’m beyond excited to join the Hulu family and bring families together for my comedy special! Just make sure they get back to their math homework afterward.”
An Indian immigrant mom known for her sharp, relatable family humor, Garg’s first streaming special, One in a Billion, premiered on Prime Video last year. Recently seen in hit SXSW film A Nice Indian Boy, she’s developing the sitcom Zarna, produced by Mindy Kaling and Kevin Hart, at CBS, as we were first to report, and will unveil her debut book next spring. Also known for her Zarna Garg Family Podcast, exploring modern family life, she’s repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
