Zay of Private Party explains how their title match at AEW Full Gear is a full-circle moment.
At AEW Full Gear, Private Party will defend their titles against The Outrunners, Kings of the Black Throne, and The Acclaimed. This will mark their first defense of the titles.
Speaking on The Mark Hoke Show on 101.5 FM KDAWN Las Vegas, Private Party were asked about their title match at AEW Full Gear. Quen explained that they had already been scouting their competition.
“We’ve been scouting, so when they were trying to qualify for a shot with us, we were scouting,” Quen said. “We were looking at what they do, we were looking at where they mess up, we was doing everything. So pretty much, we’re just gonna go in there and do what Private Party do and look good doing it.”
Zay On AEW Full Gear
Zay then expressed his excitement and noted that the match was a full-circle moment. He recalled how Quen returned from injury at the Prudential Center, and they would be defending their titles their at AEW Full Gear.
“Oh yeah [I’m excited],” Zay said. “Like I said, it’s crazy to think that when Quen came back from his injury, he came back at the Prudential Center, and I said, ‘New year, new champs.’ Fast forward, we’re returning to Prudential Center, same year I said ‘New year, new champs,’ as the AEW World Tag Team Championship. It’s also kind of our backyard.
“We’re from New York, and New York is not too far from New Jersey. So it’s a full-circle moment. I’m glad that we can live up to what I said and defend these bad boys where we came back.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Full Gear as it airs on November 23.
