The short and medium term future of Zinédine Zidane continues to fuel debate, in France and abroad.

What will be Zinédine Zidane’s next challenge? The question remains, for many observers, given the vagueness surrounding the 1998 world champion. Free since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has still not found the right fit.

The name of the French icon has however been linked to several clubs and selections. From Paris Saint-Germain to Olympique de Marseille, via Juventus, Manchester United or Real Madrid for yet another return, Zidane has also been cited as a potential coach of the France team, then Brazil and Algeria. This latest rumor has even set the country’s media ablaze.

“I don’t have any information but…”

Close to Zidane, Christophe Dugarry gave his point of view, while releasing some major details on the future of the ex-playmaker. According to the RMC consultant, Zidane would have “something under his belt”.

That he has a sensitivity to the country of his parents, of his origins, of course, explained Dugarry. That he loves Algeria and Algerians is certain. That he is already doing a lot for Algeria is also certain. Taking the selection under these conditions, I understand his refusal. He has other ambitions. There is the heart and the reality of things. Although nothing is impossible, I understand his position. I don’t have any info but I think he must have something up his sleeve.“, concluded the former striker.
