The French football icon was one of the main characters at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

The sequence will remain epic. Who else but the “daddy of France” to launch the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?

After a brilliant introduction by his friend Jamel Debbouze in an empty Stade de France, Zinédine Zidane caused a sensation during a sequence filmed in various locations in the capital.

Zidane, an unforgettable clip

The former number 10 made his appearance with the torch in his hand, before parading through the streets of Paris, then in the metro. With class and humor, Zidane, dressed in a suit, did not hesitate to take up the codes of James Bond, when Daniel Craig had produced a similar sequence at the London Olympics in 2012.

“Zizou” was also seen showing off his skills, preferring to dribble past vintage cars in the capital’s picturesque alleyways, before racing through crowded café terraces. An unforgettable clip for one of the most iconic personalities in French sport.
