Zoey Stark moved on to the next round on WWE Speed.
Stark faced Kayden Carter in the opening match of a new Number One Contender’s Tournament on WWE Speed. The Pure Fusion Collective member picked up the win with a running knee to the face, so she punched her ticket to the next round. Stark now awaits the result of the other first-round match, which will see Shotzi face Alba Fyre.
WWE Women’s Speed Champion Candice LeRae will defend her title against the winner of the tournament.
Zoey Stark On Pure Fusion Collective
Stark previously shared her thoughts on being part of Pure Fusion Collective while speaking to Denise Salcedo at the San Diego Comic-Con event.
“I was really excited actually. So, when we first heard that we were going to get this little group started, it was a lot of excitement both like all three of us really. But between Shayna and I, we were super stoked to finally get Sonya in the mix. And get this… Yeah, there’s other female factions, but I think we really stand out. So we are all really excited to show that side of us. And there’s more people to play off of, with the three of us. So, it’ll be fun.”
“That’s exactly what we wanted [the feeling of looking at the trio and taking a step back not wanting to mess with them], right? Sonya, MMA. Shayna, MMA. I did a little bit but not to their credit. So… But I’ll be the muscle one. I’ll have the muscles.”
