There seem to be a lot of factions being formed on WWE Television, be it The Judgment Day, The Bloodline, Damage CTRL, and many more. Now, three more superstars have joined forces to form a faction of their own. The three stars are none other than former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark, and the returning Sonya Deville. It is to be noted that Baszler and Stark were a tag team prior to teaming up with the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Recently, Zoey Stark shared her thoughts on how she felt when she first heard about becoming part of a trio.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo at the San Diego Comic-Con event, Zoey Stark mentioned that she, Shayna Baszler, and Deville were all excited about forming a group together.
“I was really excited actually. So, when we first heard that we were going to get this little group started, it was a lot of excitement both like all three of us really. But between Shayna and I, we were super stoked to finally get Sonya in the mix. And get this… Yeah, there’s other female factions, but I think we really stand out. So we are all really excited to show that side of us. And there’s more people to play off of, with the three of us. So, it’ll be fun.”
Stark also mentioned that the intention of this particular trio is to instill fear in the rest of the roster and for them to think twice before wanting to pick a fight with the trio.
“That’s exactly what we wanted [the feeling of looking at the trio and taking a step back not wanting to mess with them], right? Sonya, MMA. Shayna, MMA. I did a little bit but not to their credit. So… But I’ll be the muscle one. I’ll have the muscles.”
Zoey Stark on working with Sonya Deville
During the same interview, the former NXT Women’s Champion mentioned that she finds it very easy to talk with Deville and all three of them have a very good chemistry working together.
“Sonya has been so cool and so easy to talk with. Like, Shayna, I already know Shayna. We’ve [Zoey and Shayna] been working together for, man, a while now. Probably six months, probably. So, Sonya when she came back, she’s just been easy to talk to. We’ve been, excuse my language, shooting the s***. Just figuring each other out and how we vibe. And we, all three of us have really good chemistry that we’re excited to show on TV at some point.”
Stark also commented on the reaction from fans since the trio debuted and claimed that they are happy to be called the female version of the infamous S.H.I.E.L.D faction.
“It’s been interesting. It’s been very very interesting. Some comments where we’re like, ‘Okay. Sure.’ But there’s other ones where like, I’ll say it, ‘The female S.H.I.E.L.D.’ We will take that. We are very happy to be the female S.H.I.E.L.D,” Zoey Stark said.
