1923 is back with Season 2, but fans are noticing that one character has been recast in the second season. Sadly, there was a terrible tragedy ahead of filming. Keep reading to find out more… Cole Brings Plenty was found dead in Kansas at age 27. His family reported him missing after he did not attend an appointment with his agent, and his body was discovered when police investigated an unoccupied vehicle. He had been named as a suspect in a domestic violence case days earlier. Cole fled the scene before local police arrived, and there was footage of him leaving the city after the incident. The cause of his death has not yet been made public. 1923‘s Season 2 opened with an “In Memoriam” tribute to the actor after the Season 1 recap with several shots of the character of Pete Plenty Clouds. Pete Plenty Clouds is now being played by Jeremy Gauna, who also starred in American Primeval, and even played a warrior in two episodes of 1883, so there was already a Yellowstone universe connection. Aminah Nieves, who plays Pete Plenty Clouds’ love interest, Teonna Rainwater, opened up about the loss of the original actor, referring to him by his nickname Coco. “Coco was my brother. The only reason I’m here tonight is to honor him wholeheartedly. He was so excited, especially when he learned that he was going to be in almost every episode. It was like, ‘Wait, you’re (like) my sister, and I’m your brother, which is kind of gross.’ But he loved it,” she recalled to USA Today. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Cole Brings Plenty‘s loss. Find out whether there will be a third season of the show.
