Quinn says slipping a classic black turtleneck beneath a V-neck cashmere knit “looks really modern and really current.”

“When you drape an oversized leather coat over something that’s very elegant … you’re balancing femininity with masculinity,” Quinn says.

“It’s sort of a rock ‘n’ roll look with a more laid-back vibe,” Quinn says of this “unexpected” combination of a sportier piece of outerwear — like this fleece hoodie — with leather pants and platforms.

Quinn’s a big fan of “playing with textures” — say, by teaming a Fair Isle sweater with a corduroy mini and shearling coat.
Keeping everything in the same color palette “really pulls the whole look together,” she adds.
