Bayern Munich's director of sport admits the team needs Harry Kane's goals but isn't worried about the England star's current drought.

The Three Lions captain is enduring an uncharacteristic dry spell in front of goal having not scored from open play since November 22.

While the two months since then has been disrupted by injury and Germany's winter break, Kane has struck twice in that time with both goals coming from the penalty spot.

The striker's struggled were laid bare during Bayern's shock 3-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Despite having three chances to score from inside the penalty area, Kane failed to make it count as the German side suffered an upset in the Netherlands.

But according to Bayern chief Max Eberl, Kane's struggles aren't something that he's too worried about.

He explained: "Harry [Kane] is the least of my worries.

"When you have a young player, you might worry more, but Harry Kane has had so many highs and also some lows.

"So if anyone can cope and deal with it, it's Harry Kane.

"He hasn't scored from open play for a long time, but he also was injured.

"Of course, we need his goals.

"He knows that and is probably the one who is most critical of himself.

"But I don't think it's causing a mental problem for Harry."

Despite his so-called drought of late, Kane's goal record in Bavaria is still pretty astonishing.

His move to Germany came in the summer of 2023 when he left Tottenham.

In north London he scored 280 goals in 435 games and became the club's all-time top goalscorer.

His debut season with Bayern ended with him scoring a staggering 44 goals in 45 games - an impressive record for a side who failed to secure silverware.

While he's been limited to just two goals in the last two months, Kane has still managed 22 goals in 24 games this season.

Those goals have led Vincent Kompany's side to the top of the Bundesliga, as well as remaining strong in the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League, if you exclude the recent Feyenoord defeat.

With 22 assists to his name in his season and a half with Bayern, it's clear to see that Kane offers much more than just goals knowing England's all-time record goalscorer like we do, it's only a matter of time until he hits the goal trail once again.
