The end of the season and the summer transfer window are fast approaching. If Paris Saint-Germain is fully focused on its end of season which could prove historic, the Parisian management is not forgetting to prepare the squad for next season.

The Parisian summer will be hectic in terms of departures but also arrivals. Luis Enrique wants to strengthen his team to take it even higher. And the red and blue board would have targeted certain player profiles.

According to information from Foot Mercato, PSG reportedly has its sights set on AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana. The French international is one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 and should set sail during the off-season unless there is a turnaround in the situation.

Under contract until June 2025 with ASM

Paris Saint-Germain is not the only club from the Old Continent to follow the Monaco midfielder. Arsenal, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are in the running. However, the capital club really has its chance in this matter if it decides to speed things up.

Coming from the Parisian side (originating from the 19th arrondissement of Paris), the French international has never hidden his attraction to the capital club. During an interview given to Canal + last October he did not hesitate to declare his love for the Rouge et Bleu. “ It’s the city where I come from, it’s the first club I supported. But I will always put myself as #1, because I’m selfish. In this world, you need that. If this is the place that will achieve my goals, why not? Otherwise, I will go elsewhere, » he declared.

Currently under contract until June 2025 with ASM, Youssouf Fofana has a market value of 25 million euros according to the site Transfermarkt. A more than affordable sum for a player of his level. To be continued…
