‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Sets Paramount+ Premiere Date

Paramount+ announced on Monday that A Quiet Place: Day One, the third film in the A Quiet Place horror franchise which examines the day a world went silent, is set to begin streaming exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday, August 27.

The film’s availability in additional international markets will be announced at a later date. Directed by Pig’s Michael Sarnoski, and starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, it hits streaming following a late June theatrical release which saw the film open to nearly $100 million worldwide, in a franchise best.

Grossed over $261 million worldwide to date, A Quiet Place: Day One watches as Samira (Nyong’o) returns home to New York City, seeing her simple trip turn into a harrowing nightmare when mysterious creatures that hunt by sound attack. Accompanied by her cat, Frodo, and an unexpected ally, Eric (Quinn), Samira must embark on a perilous journey through the city that has suddenly gone silent, where the only rule is to stay quiet to stay alive.

Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff also star in the Platinum Dunes/Sunday Night Production. Sarnoski’s screenplay stemmed from his and franchise architect John Krasinski’s story, which was based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck.

Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Krasinski produced the threequel, with Allyson Seeger and Vicki Dee Rock serving as executive producers.
