Aaron Rodgers Explains Why He Turned Down Being Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Running Mate

Aaron Rodgers says he had an offer to pursue a political career.

During the New York Jets press conference on Tuesday (May 22), the 40-year-old quarterback said that he was on the short list to be Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s running mate in the 2024 Presidential Race, but he turned down the offer to be the the 70-year-old politician’s potential Vice President.

“But there were really two options — retire and be his VP or keep playing,” Aaron explained. “And I wanna keep playing.”

RFK Jr. is expected to run as an independent candidate this fall against President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Aaron has said that he plans for voting for RFK Jr. in the election as they agree on several issues, including vaccinations.

In a recent interview, RFK Jr. said that doctors found a dead worm in his brain that “ate a portion of it.”
