Adam Copeland says he has been cleared to return for months, but he had to deal with the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

Copeland suffered a broken tibia at AEW Double or Nothing in May. He was then absent until he returned at AEW Worlds End. Copeland will make his in-ring return at AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Adam Copeland was asked to comment on how he was feeling.

“I’ve been good to go, man. The rest of my body feels great. My leg feels great. I’ve actually been cleared for three months. But then with everything that happened here with the hurricane, we all had the discussion, it was more important to be home and get everything at home squared away, and then just come back to work. That’s amazing, to be able to have that understood, [that] it was time to be home.

“Who cares if my leg’s ready to go? It’s time to be home. We don’t have drinking water. It’s just real life. Everything feels great, though. In that time, I’ve been healthy and going to the ring and been able to go 100 in the gym. So yeah, it’s time. I feel ready.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen as it airs on January 1.
