One memorable and talked-about moment on social media from the 2025 Oscars happened just after Adrien Brody was announced as the Best Actor winner for his work in The Brutalist. If you didn’t see, while walking up to the stage to accept his Oscar, the 51-year-old actor paused on the stairs and threw his gum to girlfriend Georgina Chapman, who retrieved it for him. After his acceptance speech, he caught up with Live With Kelly and Mark and was asked about the moment. Specifically, he was asked why he didn’t just swallow his gum instead of throwing it in the air for her to catch.
