AEW Collision will take place at a unique venue next month.
On Thursday, Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio announced that the Collision taping scheduled for December 7 had been canceled. No reason for the cancellation was given at the time of publication.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful provided more details, reporting that AEW was still planning to run a television taping in Columbus that weekend, but in a different venue. It was noted that AEW wanted to announce the new venue before Nationwide Arena went public about the cancellation, and an “interesting opportunity” was the reason for the venue change.
AEW has since announced its plans for December 7, sharing that Collision will be held in partnership with GalaxyCon Columbus at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Tickets for Collision at GalaxyCon Columbus will go on sale this Saturday, November 16 at 2 PM ET via AEWTix.com and GalaxyConColumbus.com. All fans who purchased tickets for AEW Collision at Nationwide Arena will be automatically refunded.
The original graphic for the December 7 AEW Collision saw Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Willow Nightingale, and AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May being advertised for the event. It remains to be seen if this lineup will still apply to the updated Collision venue.
Three days before AEW heads to Columbus, the promotion will host tapings for Dynamite and Rampage in Fishers, Indiana at the Fishers Event Center.
