All Elite Wrestling is heading back to Philadelphia on Sunday, April 6 for AEW Dynasty.

This morning Philadelphia Inquirer Sports announced that All Elite Wrestling was bringing their AEW Dynasty pay-per-view to the Liacouras Center on April 6.

It didn’t take long for All Elite Wrestling to follow up on this announcement, taking to social media to officially confirm the event, tweeting out:

“As announced by @phillysport this morning, #AEWDynasty PPV is coming to Philadelphia on Sunday, April 6 at the @LiacourasCenter! This marks the first #AEW PPV to be held in Philadelphia. General on sale tickets will be available on Monday, February 3 at AEWTix.com,” All Elite Wrestling said in a post.

This is the second AEW Dynasty event, not to be confused with the co-promoted Wrestle Dynasty event in Japan. The first Dynasty took place in St. Louis, which saw Swerve Strickland capture the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe. It also featured what many fans considered to be the match of the year with Will Ospreay defeating Bryan Danielson.

Can last year’s AEW Dynasty be topped?

While this seems like a tough pay-per-view to top, Tony Khan told the Philadelphia Inquirer that their goal is to live up to last year’s event.

“The goal is to live up to the original,” Tony Khan said. “Last year’s Dynasty was a huge hit and a great event. It was tremendous and we built huge expectations for the card and I think we can live up to it and have Dynasty become a great tradition as an awesome pay-per-view for AEW.”
