New champions will be crowned on AEW Collision.
The Bang Bang Gang were stripped of the AEW Unified Trios Championship on the July 13th episode of AEW Collision due to an injury to Jay White. The Patriarchy confronted The Bang Bang Gang, setting the stage for a future title match.
During the July 17th episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced that the Bang Bang Gang will face The Patriarchy in a match for the vacant AEW World Trios Championship on the July 20th episode of AEW Collision.
The Bang Bang Gang previously won the gold at AEW Dynasty. There, they defeated The Acclaimed.
