Afa‘s promotion is shutting down in the near future.
In a post on Facebook, WXW Wrestling commented on Afa’s announcement that the April 13th event would be their last. The post noted that after 27 years, WXW would be closing their doors for the final time. Afa’s serious heart condition and his mild-moderate vascular dementia with Alzheimer’s, and other health complications, were cited as factors in the decisions. WXW noted that Afa was the heart and soul of the promotion, so the family agreed with the decision. Likewise, the wrestlers were said to be sad but supportive of the decision.
Lance Anoa’i also commented on the news, saying nobody did it like WXW.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
