Alexa PenaVega is speaking out about a new Lil Uzi Vert song that was just released on Friday (November 1). The 36-year-old actress’ husband Carlos PenaVega‘s boy band Big Time Rush is featured on the track, “The Rush,” off of Uzi’s new album Eternal Atake 2, but Carlos was not involved whatsoever. Alexa took to Twitter/X to update fans and share why he chose not to partake, and took issue with it being a “Big Time Rush” feature. Keep reading to find out more… “Hey friends. Wanted to hop on here to address something. We work super hard to protect our values and the things we believe in especially when it comes to creating content that is mostly family friendly or what one would consider ‘safe,’” she wrote. “Today a song was released that featured the BTR boys minus Carlos because it did not align with his values. While thankful for the opportunity Carlos kindly passed. Unfortunately it was not credited properly and is currently being represented as a BTR feature. Not a Kendall, Logan and James feature.” “As a wife who has watched Carlos navigate his values alone in an industry not set up for ‘family’ I have been at times both incredibly proud and totally heartbroken for him,” Alexa continued. “This is not putting anyone down. We just respectfully would like to make the people who follow us aware of the mishap and address that this was something he was not a part of. God Bless” In the song, “The Rush,” Kendall, Logan and James of Big Time Rush are actually only featured in the first few seconds. “Hey, hey, you’re not Big Time Rush / Dude, you’re not Big Time Rush / We’re Big Time Rush / We’re Big Time Rush,” the guys say at the start of the song, before Lil Uzi Vert jumps in. You can check it out right here. Alexa and Carlos have a new holiday movie coming out soon. Get Him Back For Christmas will be debuting December 21st on Great American Family. “We have tons of original music and let me tell you… you will LOVE this movie :) A fresh take on a Christmas love story with a fun ensemble cast!!! We were blessed with being able to shoot one whole day at #attstadium and even had the @dccheerleaders in the movie! Not to mention shining a light on all the good that @salvationarmyus does in the world. It’s the full package!!!
