In the can. WWE has been doing several different things in recent months, including airing a variety of international Premium Live Events. These shows require a different level of production from the company and that can change some of the other things that they have going on. In this case it means filming a show in advance and now we know what we can expect.

WWE has taped next week’s (August 27) edition of NXT in advance as the company is heading to Europe for next weekend’s Bash In Berlin event in Berlin, Germany. The show will air on the USA Network in its usual time slot and will be the final edition of the show before No Mercy on September 1. Here are the results from the taping, courtesy of PWInsider.com:

*”The Fatal Influence”, Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne w/ Jazmyn Nyx defeated “Meta Four” Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson. During the match Fallon seemed to get her nose busted open, but after a few minutes, she got cleaned up and continued the match.

*Karmen Petrovic def. Izzi Dame

*”The D’Angelo Family” Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino & Adriana Rizzo w/ Tony D’Angelo def. “NQCC” Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne & Wren Sinclair – During the match, two guys in sports suits came to talk to Tony and he left immediately to the back. Not sure what happened as we didn’t see where did he go.

*There was a face-off between Zach Wentz and Wes Lee. Lot of security in the ring for this.

*Keilani Jordan comes out and calls out Wendy Choo, but Choo sends a surprise opponent to the ring. We have the debut of TNA’s knockout Rosemary, and we are ready for a match.

*Keilani Jordan defeated Rosemary.   After the match, Wendy Choo came out and attacked Kailani, laying her out in the middle of the ring and posing with the NorthAmerican Women’s title.

*Brooks Jensen defeated Malik Blade.

*Joe Coffey w/ Gallus defeated Je’von Evans in a really good match that saw interference from Mark Coffey at the end, which created the opportunity for Joe Coffey to take advantage and hit the “All the Best for the Bells” and get the pin.

*To close the night, we were treated to a Joe Hendry concert. The crowd was amazingly hot for the concert. Hendry talked to the crowd and let everyone know how much he appreciates all the support he has had in NXT. He then said he had written a new song, this time about his No Mercy opponent, Ethan Page. He began to sing with the chorus of the song being:

“Ethan sucks, believe in Joe; Ethan put on som*e clothes”

The crowd sang along with him for a while. Then, Ethan Page came out and the crowd didn’t want to let him speak, singing the chorus over and over and over. Ethan did a great job and got his promo in, only for Ava to come out and let him know that due to his disrespectful behavior towards the NXT officials, she has decided to appoint a special guest referee for his title match against Joe Hendry at No Mercy. The crowd erupted when Trick Williams came out to reveal he will be the special referee. Page went to attack Hendry, but Hendry dodge him and applied The Standing Ovation to Page. Trick went down to count and Hendry pinned Page. They posed with the title to close the show.

After the show went off the air, the crowd kept on singing to Page, who played it up with the crowd being upset about the song and acting frustrated. They kept on taping for about 5 or 6 minutes so I would not be surprised if this was used as a YouTube clip later next week.

They have a good one to follow. Check out what happened on this week’s show:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and it makes sense. There is nothing wrong with taping the show in advance as WWE has bigger things to cover in Germany next week. Getting next week’s NXT show out of the way is not a bad thing and now we get to see what they have planned for the final push towards one of their biggest shows of the year.
